The last blog post caught everyone up with us in real time (in Portugal). Now, let’s go back and continue with the chronology of our time in Ireland, picking up from our hike in the Burren.
We packed up and left the Farmhouse. Duncan was not all that keen on leaving:
And the town wished us well also.
From County Galway, we drove down to County Kerry.

We were greeted with some lovely sights.
And the view from our new place wasn’t bad.
Duncan was far more interested in claiming the one ray of sunshine:

And, for those (you know who you are) who wonder how we’ve gotten such good weather all the time… This was what it was like on our first night at Ballyheige1:

But, then, the next morning2
When it stopped raining, we headed for the beach. It’s a short walk from the house to the beach.3


We walked the length of the beach and back (about 5 km each way) and then called it a day. (From Kevin: There were no restrooms. I remember that.)
Duncan was… waiting….
We settled in for the evening, built ourselves a fire…
And listened to the evening storm come in.
Next time… the Dingle Peninsula.
Actually, we got storms almost every night in Ballyheigue. It was awesome.
